Australian almond marketers have kicked off their new season sales at Gulfood, the world’s largest annual food and beverage sourcing event.

150,000 people attended the event in Dubai from February 19 to 23, representing more than 120 countries.

The interest in Australian almonds continues to grow and demand never ceases to amaze as manufacturers, retailers, traders and wholesalers all sought out our booth to discuss potential supply arrangements.

With over 5000 exhibitors strewn across 24 halls, the ABA site under the Australian green and gold banner in the Trade Arena Hall has become “must go” destination for almond purchasers.

Over the course of the week, the booth received enquiries from more than 60 countries and fielded hundreds of enquiries each day.

An expert panel featuring Ekrem Omer (SHV), Jake Langdon (Almondco) and Mark Williamson (NPA) delivered the latest news of the 2024 crop during our annual evening industry update at Dubai’s World Trade Centre Novotel Hotel.

Almost 100 guests attended the cocktail event including significant buyers from the UAE trading and retail sectors, Kuwait, China, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, India and Pakistan.
