Australian almond sales figures for August continue to underline strong global demand.
According to the Almond Board of Australia’s monthly position report, new season sales after six months remain 2% ahead of last year’s record volume.
Inshell sales into India and better kernel sales into China are the headline numbers in the August figures.
Pricing has eased since last month’s report, despite strengthening evidence that California’s almond crop objective estimate of 3 billion pounds will not be realised by a significant margin.
Demand into Europe improved in August, but still lags behind last season while Turkiye continues to drive the Middle Eastern sales complimented by improved volumes into Saudi Arabia.
