Demand for Australian almonds continues

Australian almonds remain in strong demand around the world following the release of the industry’s November sales figures.

After nine months of the selling season, the industry has surpassed all but last year’s annual sales volumes.

China continues to drive export demand, making up 61% of exports.

Strong pricing out of California has been reinforced as crop receipts for 2025 confirm a much smaller crop than the 3 billion predicted by the industry’s official Objective Estimate.

All eyes now turn to the exchange rate with the US dollar, which has broken through 67 cents for the first time in more than 12 months and the emerging geo-political tensions across the globe that could potentially impact trade activity in 2026.
