    Women in Almonds post-harvest debrief

    ABA interpreting soil moisture workshop Riverland

    ABA ‘Almond Skills’ irrigation workshop Sunraysia

    This two half-day workshop is designed to provide almond growers with practical skills and knowledge to optimise irrigation management practices. The workshop will deliver a balance between theory and practical in-field demonstrations. By attending, participants will strengthen their understanding of how soil characteristics affect irrigation, how to use monitoring tools and how to troubleshoot common problems. Case studies, field visits and facilitated discussions will help participants apply learnings on their own orchards.

    PIRSA: Understanding the impacts of pest birds on nut industries workshop

    The Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) would like to invite South Australian industry growers and representatives to a workshop to share how pest birds affect their businesses. 


    PIRSA has a project to develop a bait for pest birds impacting primary industries and communities of South Australia. This includes feral species, like pigeons, and abundant native species, like corellas, which cause significant impacts to almond and pistachio growers. 


    Tea, coffee and a light snack will be provided. 


    Please bring along any evidence of bird damage in your orchard, including photos and videos.
