In the next few years more than 1,000 jobs are expected to be created around Swan Hill, Balranald and Robinvale-Euston, with mineral sands, renewable energy and horticulture projects all planned. There’s already challenges attracting and retaining workers, so employers could find themselves under even more pressure. A cross-border workforce summit is being held at the Euston Club on December 11 to shine a light on this issue. The Acting Commissioner of Jobs and Skills Australia, along with South Australia’s Skills Commissioner are set to attend. Further information will be provided in the coming weeks.
