ABA ‘Almond Skills’ Irrigation Workshops

After the success of last year’s workshops, the Almond Board of Australia, in conjunction with Agriculture Victoria and Netafim Australia, are once again hosting the ‘Almond Skills’ Irrigation Workshops. The workshops, each consisting of two half-days, will be held in the Riverland and Riverina growing regions. Jeremy Giddings from Agriculture Victoria and Peter Henry, Agronomist for Netafim Australia will headline the workshops along with other speakers and growers from each region.

All almond growers, irrigation staff, managers and owner/operators are encouraged to attend for a practical, hands-on and interactive workshop that will be supported by theory, demonstrations and grower experiences.

Come prepared to spend some of the mornings outdoors assessing soil pits and drip irrigation systems. Attendees are invited to bring along their irrigation designs and soil moisture monitoring data for a customised experience and to go through them with the presenters.
