Tackling issues that are impacting yields like Monterey leafing failure and Carpophilus beetle will be headline topics at the annual Almond Board of Australia’s Riverina grower meeting at Darlington Point on August 27 from 3-5pm.
The aim of the regional meetings is to connect with growers and local stakeholders in an open, discussion-based setting. These meetings provide a platform to share updates on almond production, plantings, market trends, chemical regulations and to highlight current research, development and extension activities funded through the R&D levy. They also support collaboration and information exchange between ABA staff, growers, processors, researchers and service providers, while offering an opportunity to collect feedback and discuss industry issues relevant to each region.
