RoBird is a biomimetic drone that replicates the flight and predatory behaviour of a peregrine falcon, for non-lethal bird deterrence. RoBird is being trialled in almonds in partnership with HORT Innovation to develop best practices for specific bird issues and orchard conditions. Early results from those trials show an 86% reduction in fruit damage on RoBird treated blocks. 

This casual, drop-in RoBird demo at the Mildura SmartFarm is open to growers of various horticulture crops. Come by anytime between 8:00 and 11:00 AM to see RoBird up close. Weather and conditions permitting, Aerium Analytics be running short RoBird flight demos at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30. There’s no formal presentation—just practical conversations, live demos and a chance to learn more about this new tool for Australian growers to manage bird pressures.
