Poh Cooks Malaysia to air on TEN and 10Play

As a direct result of the strong performance and positive reception of the Farm to Fork series, Australian Almonds has secured a one-off bonus episode, Poh Cooks Malaysia, featuring Australian Almonds ambassador Poh Ling Yeow. 

This special episode forms part of the broader Farm to Fork content suite and will be released on the Food Asia Network in 2026.

The episode builds on the success of the original series by extending the farm-to-plate narrative into a key Southeast Asian growth market. Filming begins in South Australia at Walker Flat Almonds, where Poh meets with grower Peter Cavallaro to capture the care, consistency and quality that underpin Australian almond production. This segment reinforces provenance, grower commitment and the premium attributes of Australian almonds, including freshness, creaminess and crunch — for international culinary and trade audiences.

From there, the episode follows Poh as she returns to her homeland of Malaysia, exploring how Australian almonds can be seamlessly integrated into both traditional and modern Malaysian cuisine. Content spans street food, market visits and contemporary cooking moments, positioning Australian almonds as a versatile ingredient that complements evolving food trends while respecting culinary heritage

A key highlight of the episode is a dinner hosted at the Australian High Commissioner’s residence in Malaysia, where Poh showcases Australian almonds through her recipes to chefs, industry stakeholders and invited guests. This activation supports broader trade and diplomatic engagement, reinforcing Australian almonds’ relevance in professional and premium culinary settings

The episode also features interviews with influential voices from Malaysia’s culinary sector, including Michelin-recognised chefs, leading restaurateurs and Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia. These perspectives reflect the country’s rapidly evolving food scene and provide strong third-party endorsement of almonds’ role in contemporary cuisine.
