The Almond Board of Australia is thrilled to announce acclaimed chef and television personality Poh Ling Yeow as the new ambassador for Australian Almonds.

Poh, known for her passion for fresh, local ingredients and creative culinary approach, will be partnering with Australian Almonds to inspire consumers to incorporate this nutritious and versatile nut into their everyday meals.

As one of Australia’s most beloved food personalities, Poh brings with her a unique perspective on the use of almonds in both sweet and savoury dishes.

She will play a key role in highlighting the benefits of almonds to both Australian consumers and in key international export markets.

Almond Board of Australia CEO Tim Jackson said he was excited about Poh’s appointment.

“Her expertise in discovering new ways to incorporate Aussie almonds into daily diets should resonate with consumers here and in key export markets.”

Poh said she can’t wait to inspire Aussies with new ways to use this delicious nut.

“I have such fond memories of shelling homegrown almonds for the first time in the Summer of ‘84 when we migrated to Adelaide, Australia,” she said.

“They’ve remained one of my favourite ingredients and a pantry staple because of their versatility, whole or ground, in sweet or savoury dishes, but most often, the thing I reach for when I’m peckish during the day.”

The partnership will see Poh showcasing innovative almond-based recipes and promoting the health benefits of Australian almonds through a series of events, digital content, and social media campaigns.

With a focus on promoting healthy eating, sustainability, and the quality of locally grown almonds, the collaboration aims to further enhance the profile of Australian almonds at home and abroad.
