The Australian Almond Conference returns to the Adelaide Convention Centre from October 2-4.

Early bird tickets are now available at $440 for ABA members and $600 for non members.

International guests are one of the drawcards of the conference and this year will be no different.

The three speakers are experts in their fields and will discuss issues that are important for growers in Australia.

  • Roger Duncan – University of California Cooperative Extension, Stanislaus County will speak about the rootstocks and varieties that are meeting the needs of Californians and the results from the field evaluations, which includes Australian varieities.
  • Jim Adaskaveg – plant pathologist from the University of California has been invited to discuss optimising inputs, with a particular focus on almond pests and diseases.
  • Xavier Miarnau – Institute of Agrifood, Research and Technology (ITRA) will shine a light on almond growing in Spain, where self compatible varieties, irrigation and super high density growing systems are enabling sustainable production despite relatively low yields.

Trade stalls and sponsorship packages are still available.
