Murray Downs Almonds, managed by Australian Farming Services (AFS), sets the standard in almond farming with a commitment to quality that’s unmatched. Our focus is on delivering superior almonds through sustainable, world-class practices.
About AFS:
Established in 2017 by investors from the US and Australia, AFS has developed into a leading figure in Australia’s almond industry. Initially expanding almond orchards to 4,500 hectares, we’re now poised for further growth. The challenges of 2020 led us to innovate, culminating in the creation of the Murray Downs Almonds processing facility, starting operations in April 2024 in NSW.
Facility highlights:
The state-of-the-art Murray Downs processing plant is designed for a 35,000 tonne capacity, featuring advanced hulling, shelling and drying equipment, including LMC and BM&M technologies. With a focus on quality, the facility includes automated sorting and packaging lines, a refrigerated warehouse with an automated guided vehicle system, and sustainable power supplemented by a 4.5MW solar farm.

NPA
NPA is one of the major processors of almonds in Australia, with its factory located in Loxton, South Australia. Our state of the art facility is worlds best practice, compete with high speed colour sorters to ensure maximum removal of foreign material and scratch damage. All product undergoes final, quality hand-grading.
Olam Edible Nuts
Olam takes pride in sticking to our principles and living our values, one of which is having a strong customer focus. We continuously strive for high customer satisfaction through building positive long-term relationships with our customers and understanding and respecting their needs. To emphasise this focus, we have established a global marketing and distribution network with direct Olam representatives for most of the major almond-consuming regions.
Olam’s experienced Marketing Managers help provide a link that facilitates information flow from our customers direct to our almond production teams. We pride ourselves on our unique capacity to provide direct paddock-to-warehouse solutions from both our almond origins. Together with nurturing positive long-term relationships with our customers, we strive to support them in growing their businesses.
Select Harvests
Our Carina West site is a state of the art almond processing facility capable of processing high volumes of product daily, without affecting quality. A 3 stage huller and 9 stage sheller minimise product damage, kernel passes through 2 colour sorters, sized into bins with excellent traceability and reporting.
